Windows 10X Release Date

There has been much talk happening related to the release of Windows 10X, but the official date for the launch has not been released yet. It’s saying that Windows 10X will be released in April 2021. Taskbar

Windows 10 taskbar usually has been at the bottom of the screen and a blank desktop above it. But in Windows 10X, the Taskbar will appear on the left side of the screen, having multiple applications incorporated. There will be a lever that will allow you to pull up the Taskbar when needed.

Different Orientations

Microsoft Windows 10X orientation is different, and with that, you will experience a great user experience, modifying its orientation. You must have seen the orientation option in your system. With Orientation mode, you can change the system mode like portrait, landscape, etc.

It can be called like multi-posture due to its flexibility. For a tablet device, it can be converted on the typical single-screen tablet interface. In book mode, it takes a dual-screen orientation. It also has a laptop and extended canvass mode.

File Explorer

Windows 10X is coming up with new improvements and features. Another change is  File Explorer, and you will not find File Explorer in Windows 10X any longer. Rather than File Explorer, there will be an OneDrive option where you can sync all your files to the cloud with the exception of the Download folder. You are required to sign in to a Microsoft account. Windows 10X is a web-first OS that includes how you save, handle and administer files on your Windows 10X.

Windows Update

Windows update icon is essential for any system to stay connected with every update related to Windows. Microsoft is updating the Windows Update icon to update Windows 10X apps quickly. Windows 10 takes much time for feature updates to install, but in Windows 10X, these feature updates are installed already in the background don’t need reboot until the update is done.

Dynamic Wallpapers

Dynamic Wallpapers is in great demands as it helps people to become energetic. You must have seen plenty of dynamic wallpapers in Windows 10 with a mountain view covering morning, afternoon, evening, and night variants. In Windows 10X, there can be features in dynamic wallpapers that can change content depending on different factors. We will have to wait for Windows 10X to see how these dynamic wallpapers are different from the previous one?

Setup experience

Windows 10X users will gain new setup experience in selecting the language, sign in to a Microsoft account, time, and terms and conditions. There will be no sign of Cortana when beginning the setup process.

New Action Center

Like the new Start and Taskbar, there will also be a new Action Center in Windows 10X. The Action Center helps manage all system settings, like volume control, location, flight mode, battery saver, Bluetooth, network, VPN, power options, and many more. There will also be a new music control in Action Center whenever music plays with a supported app.

Five Different Postures

Windows 10X has been in the news past before its release due to excellent features and improvements that the company has made. Users can use Windows 10X devices in five different positions, like Tablet, Tent, Book, Laptop, or Dual Tablet.

Start Menu

In Windows 10X, there will be no Start Menu button and is replaced by a static app launcher called launcher. On the start menu, there will be Fluent Design-enabled icons. The start menu button will hold the blur and fluent design effects.

Security

Microsoft will release its secure version of Windows 10X using the container approach. Before a release, Microsoft said it would part ways the operating system from other bits of software, like app, drivers, or malware. All your apps, browsers will run in containers and Window 10X, which will not affect your data.

Animation

Windows 10 has a little good smooth animation and transition effects. But with Windows 10X, the animation and transition effects will be more polished that helps in a more great user experience.

Quick Settings Panel

The new Quick Settings Panel is quite an interesting feature of Windows 10X. It has options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, DND, Airplane Mode, Battery Saver mode, casting, and many more. You can also edit your own tile in the Quick Settings Panel and can expand the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth menu and connect to a new network across the Quick Settings panel. You don’t need to jump to go to the settings page.

Notifications

The Windows 10 action center is too slow in response and giving notifications. The notification has been on the top of the Quick Settings Panel and allows you to clean the waiting notifications in just one click.

Two Window Performance

Windows 10X doesn’t provide the option to resize the window to a custom size. But, you can take advantage of two windows side by side. It’s like Window Snapping.

Win32 Apps

There has been in the news that Win32 Apps will not be supported at the launch of Windows 10X. Rest we are waiting for more information.

Fast Update

Unlike Windows 10, Windows 10X will not let you wait to install an update in 30-40 minutes. It will update an app in just a few seconds. It is the best feature of Windows 10X we have seen so far.

Will you need Antivirus on Windows 10X?

If you are using Windows 10X, then you don’t need to use antivirus. This operating system is read-only apps that means any malware activity can’t happen within a system or with system files. Windows 10X allows you to install trusted apps having signed code and a good reputation from any source like web browser, play store, and USB stick. But, in Widows 10S, you could only run apps that are installed from the Microsoft Store. But, now, Windows 10X has made many changes.
