How to Connect My Epson Printer to a Wired Network?

When it comes to printers and scanners, Epson is one of the big names in the industry. They have a diverse range of printers that are ideal for office and household users. Their printers are compatible with both wired and wireless network connections. This blog provides in detail information about how to connect an Epson printer to a wired network. Follow the steps enumerated here if you want to set up a wired connection for your Epson printer. Connecting your Epson printer to the router through an Ethernet cable enables you to print from any device that is also connected to the same router.

Requirements

Before you begin this process, you will require a router attached to your modem, an ethernet cable with your printer having an ethernet port in the rear.

Establishing Connection

Before you begin you switch your printer from a wireless network to wired network, the first thing you need is to disable the Wi-Fi features of your Epson printer. After you have disabled the wireless features, follow the below-mentioned steps to establish a wired connection:

  1. In order to establish a connection through a wired Ethernet, your printer should have an ethernet port on the rear. This requirement varies based on what model of printer you have.
  2. Procure an Ethernet network cable and connect one end of that cable to the Epson printer’s LAN port.
  3. Then connect the other end of the Ethernet network cable to one of the LAN ports on your router or any other network access points.
  4. Then download and install your Printer’s drivers and utility software from the Epson website, or install the software from the CD that came with the printer.
  5. Follow the onscreen prompts to continue with the installation process.
  6. On being prompted to Select Your Connection screen, select the “Wired Network Connection” option.

And your Epson printer will be connected to your computer via a wired network connection and ready to fulfill all your printing jobs.
